A small kennel of English Setter show dogs which are owned by Rebecca Goutorbe

I have been in the dog world for 30 years starting with Irish Setters as a young junior handler then English Setters around 18 years ago. 
In that time I have made up 7 UK Show Champions in English Setters 4 of which were my own these are –

Sh Ch Upperwood Lucy Liu For Redhara
Sh Ch Upperwood Snowball For Redhara JW
Sh Ch Dyrham Diversity At Redhara JW

My first English Setter and foundation bitch to the Redhara Kennel, was”Lucy” Sh Ch Upperwood Lucy Liu For Redhara.
What an introduction to the breed Lucy was winning 3 CC’s & 7 RCC’s in her career.

Lucy had one litter of English Setter puppies to Sh Ch Richecca Colour Me Blue For Upperwood, from that litter three puppies were kept they were –

“Bobby” Sh Ch Redhara Bobby Dazzler JW who was to become Redhara’s first Show Champion winning 9 CC’s, 5 RCC’s, 5 BOB’s and Reserve Best In Show at Setter & Pointer in 2010.

“Pen” Redhara Penelope Pitstop who won a RCC

And  “Dolly” Redhara Dolly Daydream who was mated to Sh Ch Upperwood Summer Escapade to produce “Crystal” Redhara Crystal Cracker JW.

Crystal’s last litter to Sh Ch Wansleydale King Of Hearts at Bramstorm produced “Billy & Gertie” Redhara Billy Whizz & Redhara Lady Gaga.

Billy & Gertie were the latest editions to the Redhara Kennel.
But sadly Billy Redhara Billy Whizz died at the young age of 4 in 2019. 

Also at Redhara there is “Pixie” Sh Ch Upperwood Snowball For Redhara JW and “Travis” Sh Ch Dyrham Diversity At Redhara JW.

History & Irish Setters

Irish Setters have always been a part of my life in 1987 I started showing Irish Setters.
I would handle dogs in the breed and enter many Junior handling and KCJO classes (YKC nowdays).

The first, “first” I ever won at a dog show was at Dukeries Gundog Club the 12-16 year old junior handling class age 12. This was me qualified for the JHA Semi Finals at Richmond and I was bitten by the dog show bug.

I purchased my own Irish Setter in 1996, “Zoe” Wyndlee Scarlet O’Hara at Redhara from Mrs Pat Beard. Zoe was never a big winner at shows but I did learn a lot from her and she gained her stud book number at The Midland Irish Setter Championship Show from Limit.

Zoe had two litters, her second litter to Grayrigge Ewan By Romarne JW produced “Red” Redhara In The Red JW, who won two Best Puppy in Breeds at Championship shows and gained his Junior Warrant.

My last Irish Setter was “Tiffanie” Atron Tiffanie At Redhara who was lightly shown and lived to the grand age of 13 years. Tiffanie crossed the rainbow bridge in November 2018.
