News 2019

31st December Happy New Year.

I will be glad to see the back of 2019, after losing Billy at young age this year.

Pixie had to be spayed because of cysts on her ovaries this was a week after Billy bloating, then on the 23rd of December the day before her 11th Birthday Crystal had a pyometra.

The pyo was open and Crystal was well in herself when she went to the vets to be spayed, but then came home and was so ill over Christmas, 5 days not eating anything at all and another night in the vets to get fluids into her. It has not been a good end to the year, but at least Crystal is still here.

Roll on 2020

19th December

I’ve bought a new big indoor pen for when my dogs come to the grooming room with me. Here is Crystal trying it out for size.

After a rollercoaster few days at the vets with Billy, the wild Boy has gone over the rainbow bridge too soon at just 4 years old. Billy bloated (GDV) on Monday, and never made it back out of the vets

21st September English Setter Association Fun Day

We had a great day at the fun day which ESA had organised. I was there with a stall for the photography and my greeting cards.

Jack borrowed a dog and went in the ring for his first time and won a second place in the handling class, brilliant!!

He was so happy.

The rosette was the size of a plate and he asked when can we go again?

21st August Crich Tramway Village, Matlock

A day out at Crich Tramway village it's only a few miles down the road.

We took Pixie with us as last time we went I noticed dogs were allowed on the trams.

I  thought Gertie would freak out on a tram lol, so Pixie got to come with us she loves travelling.

Some photos from the day out.

Gertie at Ilam Park Ashbourne

Out and about with Gertie at Ilam Park near Dovedale in the White Peaks Estate in the Peak District owned by the National Trust.

We have been here a couple of times now with Gertie, what a beautiful place it is which is dog friendly.

We went for a lovely walk near the river and around the grounds.

Jack likes the tower at the end of the garden there are steps which lead you to different levels of the grounds. They start at the top garden the next level is the ground level and then if you go further down the steps you can come out and walk to the river.

After our walk we came back up to the garden for our picnic, we all had a great time.

8th March Crufts Dog Show

I love Crufts and it was the first dog show of the year for me, this year. I took Billy, Redhara Billy Whizz in Limit dog he showed his socks off for me. I was really pleased with his performance and he was shortlisted in the class.

Here is a short video of Billy getting ready for Crufts and in the ring at Crufts.
