Border Union Championship Dog Show

Well worth the early start, I was up at 3.30 am and left with just Billy for Kelso at 4.30 am.

220 miles later I arrived at the showground for Border Union Championship Dog Show.

Judging English Setters was Mrs Fiona Mitchell (Sunsprake).

Redhara Billy Whizz won a good size and quality post graduate dog class, which I was over the moon with. Then he went on to win the dog CC, his first at just 2 years old.

Well Done Billy, a long way to travel but great result.

The Northern English Setter Society Double Open Dog Shows.

Yes double open shows, two open shows the Northern English Setter Society held on one day with one Judge for each show, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.

I took "Billy" Redhara Billy Whizz who was in Post Graduate dog at both the shows and he won both classes. I was really pleased with him  and the quality of the entry was that of a champion show.  Jack came along for a day out too as it is such a lovely venue, the weather was great too.

The Judges were Mr N Bryant & Chris Schofield.

News from Brighton about the English Setter puppies which are by Travis, they are all doing well which is great news.

These puppies are a repeat mating of top show bitch Sh Ch Gillancette Pebbles For Tattersett JW so it should be a lovely litter.

Gill has sent me a couple of photo's of the litter and I am sure I will receive a few more as the weeks go by.

Gill also tell's me that there are 2 bitches and the dog available in the litter.

A sad day, I had to say goodbye to "Bobby" Sh Ch Redhara Bobby Dazzler JW at nearly eleven and half years old. Bobby was my first Show Champion from my first litter of English Setters. A show dog who never let me down and always gave 100%.

To the right is a short slideshow of some memories of Bobby.

The Cocker Spaniel Championship

Held at Sandringham Estate, Norfolk

What a start to the New Year.

I had two fantastic days Monday and Tuesday as the official photographer for the Kennel Club at the Cocker Spaniel Championship held at the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.

I got to see great dogs work, the ground was excellent and there were lots of lovely people to meet. To top it off Her Majesty The Queen came out to watch the dogs work both days, and presented the awards how exciting!!!

That was certainly a couple of days I won't forget, and I got to photograph it all.
